About the Role
As an Early Childhood Teacher - Kindergarten Leader, you will:
• Plan, implement, and evaluate innovative and compliant kindergarten programs aligned with national and state frameworks
• Provide leadership and supervision to educators, students, and parent helpers, ensuring safe and engaging learning environments
• Build meaningful relationships with children and families, offering guidance on development and support services
• Ensure operational compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards while promoting a positive team culture
Position Details
- Part-time, Fixed term position until 19 December 2025
- Location: Highton Preschool
- 68 hours per fortnight, working the following schedule:
- Monday 8am till 5:00pm
- Tuesday 8am till 4:30pm
- Wednesday 8am till 4:30pm
- Thursday 8am till 4pm
- Salary as per VECTEA 2020 - $35.33 to $58.96 p/h (depending on experience and qualification)

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent as approved by ACECQA and suitable pursuant to the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011)
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Knowledge of the National Education and Care Services Act and Regulations 2011 and the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and ECEC National Quality Framework and Standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to different teams and settings.
- A passion for supporting children’s development through creative, reflective, and responsive teaching practices.
