Are you passionate about quality early childhood education and ensuring safe, compliant, and evidence-based practice? Meli is seeking a knowledgeable and values-driven Practice and Compliance Lead to join our Kindergarten Services team in a fixed-term role.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and support best practice across our kindergarten programs, while embedding a strong culture of compliance, risk awareness, and child safety.
About the Role
As the Practice and Compliance Lead, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based practice frameworks across Meli kindergartens
- Provide supervision and oversight to Pedagogical and Development Leaders
- Coordinate risk and compliance systems, including operational risk registers and reporting
- Support teams to meet regulatory obligations and uphold child safe standards
- Provide expert advice and training on frameworks such as MARAM, CISS, and Childlink
- Collaborate with Managers, Advisors, Teachers, and Educators to build a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Position Details
- Fixed term position until 30 June 2026
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $115,319 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in related discipline (e.g. early education and care services curriculum /practice development, risk management, Occupational Health and Safety)
- Previous experience in risk compliance in the Early Education and Care Services is mandatory
- Sound knowledge of the National and Victorian Child Safety Standards
- Able to translate relevant legislation to applicable teams
- Proven ability to provide mentoring and coaching on practice and curriculum frameworks, risk management and compliance across the MKS
- Sound knowledge and experience in working with risk management and compliance frameworks
- Acumen in written and verbal presentation
