About the role:

Meli is excited to advertise for Early Childhood Educators. These roles will fall under the category of School Readiness Funded (SRF) Additional Educators. School Readiness Funding supports government-funded kindergartens to improve children’s outcomes in communication, social and emotional wellbeing, and access and inclusion. Meli is an approved School Readiness provider, so we can deliver specialist programs to kindergarten providers in Victoria.

Please note, you are welcome to apply for 1 or more of the SRF vacancies below. As these hours will not form part of minimum ratio requirements, non-contact time will not generally apply. Please see below table to view the breakdown of available hours.

  • Part-time, fixed term until 26 January 2025
  • All educator levels are eligible to apply for SRF Additional hours (Teachers welcome to apply but will be paid at highest Educator rate)

 Kindergarten Service Available Days and Hours
Allanvale Preschool (Leopold)

Tuesday - 12:00pm to 4.00pm

Thursday - 12:30pm to 4.00pm

Kirralee Kindergarten (Newcomb)

Tuesday - 9:00am to 2:00pm

Flinders Kindergarten (Lara)

Thursday - 9.30am to 2:30pm

About you:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Cert III in Children’s Services or higher qualification (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s’ Education and Care Quality Authority - ACECQA)
  • Knowledge of the National Education and Care Services Act and Regulations 2011 and the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and ECEC National Quality Framework and Standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment
  • Experience working with children
